It’s well known that we all need to eat (or drink) wholesome plant-foods, fitting in up to ten portions a day. However, did you know that if you’re consuming non-organic then your ten a day could be loaded with toxic chemicals and pesticides? Plus, if you’re consuming organic you’re getting twice the number of antioxidants. If these figures aren’t enough, here are a few of the reasons everything we produce are always 100% organic.
YOU KNOW YOUR SOURCE
Have you ever considered where the food on your plate has come from? There is a comfort in knowing that the food on your plate was farmed with care for the earth in which they grow. Eating organic means food you can trust and feel great about, safe in the knowledge that it has been sustainably sourced (learn more here)!
ORGANIC FARMING WORKS WITH NATURE NOT AGAINST IT
The harmony from organic farming reduces the soil degradation and fertiliser pollution to rivers and waterways. Organic farms also have a much greater abundance of wildlife, including 50% more species of pollinators such as bees and butterflies.
ORGANIC PRODUCE TASTES BETTER
Of course, it tastes better with nourished, well balanced soil. This is what produces healthy, strong fruits and vegetables. Nothing genetically modified here, nothing pumped with water, just natural plant foods that are organically full of flavour.
THEY’RE FREE FROM TOXINS
Organic crops are heavily restricted from using pesticides, meaning that organic fruit and veggies had to work extra hard for their place in the world. This extra ‘effort’ leads to the building of an incredibly strong plant immune system (otherwise known as phytonutrients), which in turn leads to a stronger immune system for those who eat the organic superheroes. Not to mention all organic food certified by the soil association will never be genetically modified.
PLUS, THEY HAVE MORE NUTRIENTS
A study from the University of Cambridge shows that the antioxidant levels in organic fruit and vegetables compared to non-organic are so high that it can be equivalent to eating an additional 1-2 portions of fruit and veg per day. And you can never have enough antioxidants reining in free radicals, boosting cell turn over and keeping your skins elasticity intact.
